چکیده
The intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is considered a core technology of next-generation mobile communication. It has significant advantages in enhancing network coverage, spectrum efficiency, energy and deployment cost. Compared with the conventional massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system, cell-free MIMO overcomes limitation imposed by inter-cell interference traditional cellular networks realizes coherent transmission centered on users. In this article, we consider new application scenario for IRS - an aerial (AIRS)-aided system where multiple APs serve several users through AIRS. are “shadow area” cannot provide good quality service (QoS) due to remote location shelter tall buildings. Our goal optimize power allocation beamforming each AP, placement reflection phase shift parameters AIRS maximize user's achievable rate. Firstly, optimization fixed AIRS, propose joint strategy rate user. Then, fast optimal search algorithm base path loss model determine decrease computational complexity. simulation results show that proposed methods can improve performance system. To best our knowledge, article first study combination

Massive Connectivity with Massive MIMO-Part II: Achievable Rate Characterization
This two-part paper aims to quantify the cost of device activity detection in an uplink massive connectivity scenario with a large number of devices but device activities are sporadic. Part I of this paper shows that in an asymptotic massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) regime, device activity detection can always be made perfect. Part II of this paper subsequently shows that despite t...

Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is a promising technology that provides high system capacity, and with excellent performance in energy efficiency and system robustness. However, pilot contamination restricts the system performance due to the limited length of orthogonal training sequences. In this paper, we propose optimization of nonorthogonal pilots for uplink training. The Gras...

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...
